These boards are made from heart-wood Maple boards that were salvaged from our family farm in Richmond, Illinois. The tree was planted on the homestead by its original owner circa 1875. The historic tree was so large that these boards were actually made from the trees branches! Wow.
This is a keepsake board. With care, you will be able to keep this board forever.
You will have guests commenting about where you got THAT board! You'll have to tell them a very passionate, old farmer designs them with his friend, a master woodworker, in his incredible workshop in the rural farmland right on the border of Illinois & Wisconsin. Nobody has one exactly like yours.
Dimensions: All boards very slightly, but they are ~29" x 14".
**Only some boards will have a black walnut inlay if they are needed to secure the structural integrity of the board . Each board shape varies slightly due to the nature of our handcrafted wood products.
